The sophomore point guard happens to be playing for a coach who was one of women's basketball's greatest point guards.

Glad Powell is open to coaching, her game has been evolving and improving as the season rolls along. Coach Whalen seems more assertive and vocal on the sidelines and team seems to be responding

Whalen knows the point guard position as well as anybody and I'm sure she had to learn the balance between challenging , yelling and rewarding Powell. That was a nice moment between the two of them in the PSU game.
