Tennessee also with 7 votes in the AP with a 4-4 record. They've played some good teams but lost in all of them, lost to Chattanooga, and one of their wins was against a DII team.
They lost by 1 or 2 to North Carolina yesterday. Maybe they gained some eye test cred for that.

Middle Tennessee received 7 votes, not Tennessee.
Only three teams of the Big 10 in the polls and Indiana is tops at number 9. Conference is way down right now as a whole according to the "experts."

The Big Ten is presently rated 4th, after finishing 5th last year and 4th the year before. The Big Ten is performing right about where you'd expect, mid-tier high major.
