Need an immediate bounce back . … and don’t stumble out of the gate. An Ivy League team should not be able to “out-athlete” a Big Ten team. Attack.

Sorry if I have missed finding this info; Is there a place that provides updates on injuries? If not, then please update me.

Mike Mitchell is still dead. Resurrection in about 3 weeks. So we still don’t have anyone who can bring the ball up the court nor initiate the offense. CBJ not getting Asumma ready for that gives us no chance at doing much of anything on offense. Need Garcia to go 6-6 from 3.

Seems pretty clear from what we've seen in the first three games that Asuma was envisioned to be the point guard off the bench, at least at the beginning of the season. I'm not sure you can lay all the blame for his underwhelming performance so far on the coach.

He's averaging 26 minutes per game which is the third most on the team for players who have played all three games. He's had opportunities to assert himself but he's not done it so far.

Ben has Asuma camping out in the corner for much of the offense. There is hardly any movement in our offense, which makes the Gophers one of the easiest teams in the nation to guard.

Why? This is crazy. Kid has the best quickness on the team and he sits down in the corner- by design.

True

Did anyone have a bet down on that spread? Last shot killed you if so.

I don’t think it’s Ben. Asuma does not have the lateral quickness to beat many right now. He seems to drive left, get checked, and pass immediately. It’s almost like he doesn’t want the ball. I was really excited about Asuma, but I don’t think he’ll be much of a factor this year.

I think he has the quickness. It may be that he is too nice of a teammate. He is a freshman surrounded by seniors who have a lot of experience. He may be deferring to their experiences rather than try take a leadership role, which is what a true point guard must do. At some point he needs to tell the older guys to get in line. He may not have the courage to do that with these seniors.

He's shown a couple flashes so far this season, but overall he's looked more of a freshman for now. That drive from corner he had in the 2nd half was really nice. He plays hard

In fairness, Ben has 4 players camping out in the corner for much of the offense. When the shot clock gets to 5 seconds, whoever gets stuck with the ball at the top of the key has to go jack up a shot. It's our "Motion" offense......SMH

Announcers were not shy about commenting on the officials going to review it to make sure that Yale in fact beat the spread.

Gambling Reigns!
