The Gopher offense, defense and special teams work in synch.

The offense strives to control the clock and time of possession, which in turn helps keep the defense fresh and rested. It's an old, simplistic formula, and it doesn't look like video game football, but it works pretty well in the win-loss column.

It is a sound plan for a program that can't count on having 5-star talent on the field.
