Imagine a team we actually had with Thompson and McHale being allowed to play in the NCAAs in 76-77 when their record was 24-3. That team would have very likely won a national title. Thompson, McHale, Ray Williams, Dave Winey, Oz Lockhart, Flip Saunders....

It’s seems laughable today that they were ineligible because players sold their complimentary tickets.

Honestly though, that would have been one of the all time greats.

Ruesse also says some car dealer gave them an ugly green Chrysler to share. Every time they left campus it was an NCAA violation and that's what the majority of the infractions were.
