Maybe this says more about the program than anything else. Going back to 2009, the Gophers have been favored by more than a field goal only 4 times in conference games. In 2009, they were 7 point favorites at home vs. Illinois. They lost by 3. 2014, 4 point favorites at Illinois, lost by 3. 2014, 12 point favorites at home against Purdue...overcame an 11 point halftime deficit to win by 1 (broke an 0-22 streak when Kill's teams trailed at half. And of course today's disappointment. There's a reason Vegas rarely makes the Gophers a big favorite.
