Friend of mine is an oddsmaker for several of the books, he said it is quite phenomenal that the gophers are 19-3 against the spread. They have earned new respect and the lines are sure to shrink for future games.
 

if 19-3 vs spread doesn't that mean betters are still not taking this team seriously, no respect? under respected

I think they've already shrunk a bit. I think NW was about a 1.5 point favorite and Mich St was about a 3.5 favorite. I was thinking last night that, early in the Big Ten season, NW probably would have been a 3 point favorite and Michigan State probably would have been a 5.5 or 6 point favorite.
