Wish the scrimmage was at night.... with the rising ticket prices most of us have to work to support the team!

Regardless, exciting news.

Just a question: we are media, right?

Anyone been to the August practices before? Is it something elementary school aged kids would enjoy?

The fall practices that are open to the public are very much like spring practices. Depending on their age and their interest they certainly might enjoy it. If they are not that interested you can leave anytime. Also, the older they are the more likely is that they will find it interesting. Perhaps, the scrimmage on Saturday might be a better choice.

I think the practices are actually more entertaining than a formal scrimmage at TCF Bank Stadium, if only because you are much closer to the action, its faster paced and you can move around to different positions and watch entirely different drills. There's nothing like watching the guys get after it on the "sleds" when you are up close! It also gives you a great feel for how precise a staff runs a practice. Every minute is planned and the entire staff (beyond just the coaches) operate like a well oiled machine.

I agree! To watch and to see how those practices practices are run is a thing of beauty. If you have watched it over the past five years you will then understand how coach Kill and his staff have turned this program around. I am not sure though elementary kids will be able to appreciate and understand all those nuances.

Spot on.

I'll be around on the 10th so I just might have to check this out!

If you're thinking about kids, just be aware that they play rap music, typically uncensored. So if your kids can understand what's being said in a song....

If your kids are fans like most of us probably were as youngsters, they will love the practices.
