We could start hearing about transfers leaving the program as early as tomorrow. I doubt we'll hear on bowl opt-outs for a few weeks, in fact, I think most of Fleck's bowl opt-outs didn't really announce, they just didn't participate in the bowl and we found out right before.

Any guesses on who will transfer out?

Go Gophers!!

I remember Koi said something or another at the start of the season about how he wants the team to contend for the playoff this season or he may think about looking elsewhere. Hopefully he sees potential in 2026 and sticks around for one more.

Was that before or after he single-handedly blew the California game?

Do you have any source for this at all?

109 on the roster online currently. 26 walked for senior day. 31 commits as of right now. If we bring in around 20 transfers like last year we probably need around 25 current players to go.

Found this article after a quick google search. I feel like there’s a direct interview, I’ll dig around a bit on this board as I feel like it must have been posted here. https://www.si.com/college/minnesot...or-shot-at-playoffs-with-gophers-01jg4dqace2bView attachment 40517
A word of caution with si.com articles - they are notorious clickbait, written with sensationalized headlines, wild takes and opinion articles loosely rooted in reality to drive traffic to the site, thereby increasing ad revenue. It is a high-volume farm model designed primarily to generate clicks. It is not the SI of old.

Again, I feel like it came from a direct interview. Could have just been my memory playing tricks on me though

You are correct, in fact MANY are AI written.

I wouldn’t be too surprised if Hayes, Lanier, or Driver left. Although Brockington and Loya graduating open up snaps. Ryland Kelly at cb maybe? I thought he showed some promise early during his tenure here, but doesn’t seem to get much playtime anymore.

Well Koi regressed this year. Everyone here hates the defensive coordinator so maybe if PJ does not fire him Koi leaves?

He’s eligible for the NFL draft after next year. I think we have him for one more year of development IMO.

Guys I would keep an eye on
QB Kallock and Witke(sp)?
RB Turner, Berry already left, Ford
WR Driver, Lanier, Nuke, pretty much anyone not named Coleman, Martino, Tracy or Smith
Oline, Williams, Tripp, Alvarez, Ball, Tafai, anyone not named Roy, Johnson, Beers, Carroll or Nelson
Dline. Lot of opportunity for younger guys there to step up, there will be portal adds as well, will see what happens there. Lot of young guys will find out what the pecking order was/is based on movement.
Linebacker. Gerlach and Cleveland, hopefully no one else
Corner. Bowden and Kelly got passed over by younger guys and multiple safeties converted to corner. Parrish was hurt most of the year, Seidl had some run on special teams. Don't think Madu got much of any run.
Safety Harden and Rainer seem to be the two at the bottom of the depth chart and we have three coming in.
Punter. McGrath and Richter, don't need four punters
Kicker. Jackson the only one with eligibility left.

Not wishing that any of these guys leave, these just seem like the guys who were buried on the depth chart, obviously if I didn't list someone that leaves it's because I don't want them to leave, so hope there's no surprises

Curious why you think Turner? He was getting touches ahead of Cam Davis prior to the injury I thought. Unless Fame would jump him, could see him back especially with Taylor's injury history.

That should be a very real fear. The entire defense regressed. I’d expect anyone with a shot at the next level to question their ability to make it there as a Gopher if the current Defensive staff stays in tact.

I think Feme has jumped him. I am not saying he's Sean Tyler 2.0 but Turner seemed to much of an east to west guy to make it work here and who knows how much of that explosiveness was lost during that injury. Especially if Taylor comes back, I just think it's Taylor, Feme, Washington and maybe even Estrada

SI is trash, everyone can safely ignore the entire domain.

By people who only remember one game this year and just come to this sub to bitch.

I think you can disregard most fan forums after a loss.
Agreed, but I think Collins can't have another year like this one. Some of the issues I wouldn't put on him and I don't think you hire someone like him and pull the plug after a year unless it's catastrophic. He needs to address the cornerback and interior dline issues. The DB have to be able to play zone for his scheme to fully work. If he can't teach that than the plug needs to be pulled now but if he can than he needs to get the right personal in here. Danny did a great job as the safeties coach, Fleck let him take the next step and now he needs to show he can do it
