Gophers 2025-26 non-con schedule news

Woops. Yes. Hoiberg will be fired too of course.
I wonder how hot Hoiberg's seat is... I'm sure the late season collapse turned the heat up a couple notches though

So, we play Indiana, Northwestern, and Wisconsin twice. Am I missing one?

I think we'll still be favored in our confirmed non conference games, to date.

I went to a game at Chicago State this past season. The CSU game was the worst D1 atmosphere I've ever experienced, I counted at tip-off there were 19 people there.

It "filled up" as the game went along and the announced attendance was 145 (see box score below) but I think that included both teams, staff, and all the workers in the arena.

Go Gophers!!

Hopefully there are more than 145 people at Williams Arena that night.

Underwood is a glutton for punishment. Confirmed games: Tennessee, UConn, Alabama, Missouri, Texas Tech

Illinois went 2-3 against a similar gauntlet last season. I’m torn on whether this is a good idea.

If you want to get better...if you want a competitive team...if you want to make the NCAA Tournament....if you want your players to know what the Big Ten is about before you start conference games then play other NCAA Tournament type teams in non-conference.
That's 5 games...hopefully we do something similar with the unannounced games we have left. It can't be more teams in the 300's.

Illinois is in a position where they're making the tournament every year, so I think they're fine

It’s a great idea. Lets you know where you’re at.

I guess I don't understand what the purpose is of being D1 if no one even cares and even the students don't show up. Also how much did you pay for your ticket?

Do you recall what I hand counted at Williams Arena in the November 2008 Tourney the Gophers hosted for the Bowling Green vs Georgia St battle? It was a prelude to Gophers vs Concordia (St Paul).

I think it was under 100 (at Tip Off).

Feeling less and less enthused about this home non conference slate.

Looks like another CBJ special, hopefully we can get at least 2 decent games

Hopefully they get at least one Power 5 home game and play the game at Mizzou. If they also get two decent games out of the tournament that is a decent slate.
