It's now been one week since Jerry Kill was named head coach of the Gophers. In that week he's been hard at work meeting with high school coaches, interviewing current Gopher staff & coordinators, contacting verbal commits & starting the recruiting process. Kill even worked in a trip to Williams Arena where he enjoyed a nice ovation from Gopher fans as he was introduced. I caught up with Coach Kill as he was leaving the game, and got the chance to ask how the first week has gone so far in Gold Country.

Everything he's done has been positive and positively controlled. No over the top promises just a regular Minnesota kind of guy. Big on understatement. If you're a fan of Garrison Keillor, Kill is probably full of that Lake Woebegone Lutheran/Catholic guilt for having such a good job :). What's not to like so far?
