Stella Swenson, currently a sophomore setter for Wayzata, committed to the Gophers today. Stella was the Gatorade Player of the Year this past season in leading Wayzata to the 4A MN title.

 

Big time commitment. Her sister was a baller. Stella might be better.

Let’s not put that kind of pressure on Stella. She looks like she will be very good. Now let’s go out and get a really good DS for that class

We already have the best libero in the country committed for the class of 2023. Laney Choboy is playing on the national team this year. We do need a defensive specialist in 2024 if Wurcherer doesn't play six rotations, but in the past Hugh has gone with walk-ons as defensive specialists. We will use one scholarship for a middle blocker in 2024.
