Wisconsin lost both of its matches with Washington, 1-3 at home and 0-3 on the road. Granted that there's a wide variation in the strength of non-conference schedules, but this means that Wisconsin, the coaches' pre-season conference favorite, enters conference play with the worst Big Ten non-conference record at 4-4.
