I gotta go with McKnight. He's strung together a couple of very nice games, he's our best chance to score against OSU too.

The guys catching the ball in general in general.
Lair, McKnight, and Gray have been the three players on the team that have actually performed at or above expectations.

McNight only fights for the ball in the endzone. Other than that, he sits and waits. He shows barely any effort from goalline to goalline. I gotta go with our o-line. HUGE improvement in pass protection and they are opening holes. Granted our running backs seem to miss them more often than not. But, I also think that our MVP has to be our TE's. They are looking very solid.

Bob Bruininks for making Maturi get rid of our ex head coach Tim Brewster.

Hard to pick an MVP on a 1-7 team. I'd probably say Hoese, since he was the MVP in our only victory of the season, and he's definitely the inspirational story for the Gophers this season.

I will tell you who's not....South Dakota cheerleaders and flag girls. No wonder South Dakota was so tough. They get girls like that when they get back home.

Beings we only won one game...it has to be someone that was instrumental in that win...I vote for Duane Bennett

Reminds me of the Buddy Ryan quote on Cris Carter...."All he does is catch touchdowns."

The fans who keep showing up to watch this trash.

Three-way split between Gopher sack leaders KGM, Wilhite and Jewhan Edwards. They each have one. 3 sacks on the year for the team. That's a big reason why the corners get torched and that's why they've only won one game.

Goldy and McKnight.

That is all.

Dwight Dasher

His decision making has led us to all of our victories

hmmmmm...let's see...I wonder who has been getting these WR's/TE's the ball....?

How 'bout 4-year starter and 3-year captain, Adam Weber...who owns every Gopher QB record in the book...and who just surpassed the 10,000 yard mark for career passing yardage?

He gets my vote.

I still can't believe they actually showed-up wearing moo moos!

Bruinincks has to be the MVP this year. He knew something needed to be done to fix this problem and he got the ball and chain rolling. Now he needs to get the right head coach. He's the MVP this year and it's not even close.

But don't you know that he's so bad that he manages to be wildly inaccurate despite having the highest completion percentage of any Minnesota QB ever?

But don't you know he is 9th in the BigTen in passing efficiency and at least 10th in completion percentage. That is sad if he has the highest completion percentage of any Minnesota QB. No wonder the football team has been in a forty year funk!

Gotta be McKnight, tied for 5th is FBS with 9 TD catches. Not too shabby, he makes some pretty impressive grabs. If you had to guess, what do you think his 40 yd time would be?

Kick Return Team, they are always on the field.

prexy b (lame duck) and maturi (dead duck)...

screwed up the last hire so badly that they both have become ZOMBIE ducks... The new master of the zombie ducks is Dave Mona, chief pr guy for the University of Minnesota administration and athletic department. Don't count on anything. Time will tell how this all transpires and we will only be able to judge the new hire when we can compile the Big Ten win minus Big Ten loss ratio/percentages.

The good thing is that TCF BANK STADIUM insures that the new prexy and administrations and those to follow for the next quarter century can not totally abandon the Gopher Football situation. Too many resources have been put into our beautiful new stadium to abandon it within the first quarter of a century.

What does this post have to do with the Team MVP? We get it Wren, you aren't thrilled with the administration. Save it for the other 10,000 threads on this subject.

I thought Zombie Ducks were out in Oregon? I'm pretty sure Nike has a uniform for that.

There you go again...

Gold Vision (can't dunk...)

Why, Gold04 and Tricks BOTH picked prexy b, so I was responding to THEM. Now, go lecture someone who does not respond to previous responses on this thread. You are such a crabby person and appear to be an apologist for prexy b. He has messed up big time while trying to play GM with the coaching situation during his tenure here. He certainly is no Prexy Y! Prexy Y had the vision thing. He was trying to dump some non-revenue sports the way that wisky had. He knew that the dollars were just being spread too thin in the U of M athletic department. So, there you have it Gold Vision. Cheer up good buddy...! ; 0 )
