So was Bjorck who just got taken 8th overall. Teams aren’t as scared of undersized (except Mooney who was outlier small) anymore if it’s a player who produces at that rate relative to their peers like Willis has. Definitely first round talent. It’ll be interesting to see what he does next year.

Regardless, what matters is for the Gophers he is currently projecting as a high scorer in college whether NHL teams think his size is worth a first rounder or not.

Brayden Willis has the most dog in him of anyone on this USA squad. Great player. He is going to be a pro one day.

More hype started around Willis after the U17 Worlds in the fall where he was the most productive player in the tournament. I didn’t get to watch him a ton last year but excited to more next year
