Gopher Hockey Recruiting

I don't know why that kid would have an "agent/handler".
I forget who it was, but one of the gopher basketball players who transferred in from a mid-major in the last few years was confirmed to not just have an agent, but multiple agents. Makes no sense to me but whatever.

more using the term loosely. advisor if you prefer. becoming more and more common all the time that people get in their ears early, even for kids who are nowhere near the d1 level

numerous "agencies" in the TC and then people who do it more "casually" by word of mouth

Schneider followed Chyzyk soooo ya probably a bad sign.

Also Zimmerman not currently in the mix at the top schools
"Zimmerman lists ASU, OSU, SCSU, Kato and QU as who he is deciding from"

Wait now we want Edina kids again?

(relax I'm joking)

Geographically it's been as good of a class as you could hope for in terms of spread around Minnesota. One 5 or 4.5 star cake eater as a cherry on top... I could deal with that but seems it won't happen. Maybe Fitzhenry.

4 star Ben Geiger commits. I think he's got some very high end potential.
My favorite of the instate d guys. Very nice.

On the follows, Geiger also follows chyzyk. Schneider already follows mn (or at least did in the past). Don’t know why people get excited about that.

I'm doubtful they'll be able to compete, but I'm thinking now that the CHL floodgates opening might actually make it easier to field a team of all Minnesotans. Teams like UND, DU, and Notre Dame are going to the CHL and they're a few of the teams that steal the most Minnesotans.

This early theory is reflected in I believe 10 of the last 11 non transfer commitments being Minnesotan.

This is what I was trying to tell you. It is not imperative they get aggressive in Canadian recruiting, but catching a highly rated guy from now and then is fine. But you have to counter that with collecting the upper tier mn kids in a very large percentage.

So far this year has been very good. Still think they need one more of Schneider or fitzhenry to be a slam dunk.

That type of team every year will absolutely compete

Big get for Notre Dame in Beckham Edwards. Borderline 1st high 2nd projections right now for next years draft

Per McMahon, gophers the best of the b10 this year in the transfer portal

He really likes the DiPasquo pickup and thinks Ludkte has excellent potential if healthy
