Bierman, but if just players it Comes down to Tom Brown and Giel. Both finished 2nd in Heisman voting. But nod goes to Brown who was Outland winner, B10 MVP and National Champ.

Brown belongs in the conversation.
 



You should be ashamed of yourself. Ryan Grant played in 48 games as a Gopher. That's 48 more than you.

Come on - he doesn't get a scholly at MI, tOSU, NE et al...I'm sure he's a good kid but he wasn't a D1 LB.

I'll take back the Ernie W. III inclusion - he did have some big games (and disappeared a lot as well)...replace him with speedster Harold Howell :)

Grant might have not been a good linebacker, but he was a very good special teams player.

You don't play 48 games in a college career without some talent.
