Point ONE: We have 5 Home games in a row...row da boat! We do on this graphic but probably not in real life. The dates for the games are not set beyond the first three.
Point 2: We have 7 total home games.
Point 3: We have two road games I'm guessing we will be favored.
Point 4: We have three road games we are likely underdogs in. The two versus Oregon and Ohio St could be a challenge to keep close?

The date of these games are not set yet. So we don't know for sure what date for each game. There no way we will have 5 home games in a row. Don't see Ohio State and Oregon back to back.

There is a real outcome where we go 7-0 at home next season, and even 6-1 would put us into a good position. Lots of exciting road games on top of that, like a visit to Berkeley and Northwestern’s temporary lakeside stadium as well as a game in Eugene.

I think our defense could very well be one of the best of the Fleck era next season, and while there are more questions on offense I have faith post-Brosmer that they’ll get that figured out over the offseason to at least generate a solid offensive unit. Anything better than Kaliakmanis fever 2023 I would take. Looking forward to see if Koi gets more snaps at WR. I think we start 3-0 in nonconference, probably lose to Oregon and OSU realistically unless some major offseason turmoil happens and the timing is ripe for a trap game, and probably lose to one or two of Iowa, Nebraska or Sparty for our annual game that got away. That all being said, I think this schedule is very favorable and I can absolutely see a 9-3 season where the axe stays home and we maybe take the pig for good measure as well. Glad our two cupcakes are to start out the season this year so Lindsey can warm up and get accustomed to starting.

AHH, makes sense. My bad, I was reading it as just game times unknown.

The main reason they exceeded Vegas's win total this year was competent/above average by Gopher standards QB play. Real tough to predict anything without knowing who the QB is going to be.
And once we do know who the QB will be, it’s likely going to be someone who is unproven at the P4 level, so will be tough to predict how well they’ll do.

Hard to tell with the NIL and transfer portal, no idea how good some teams will be and how the gophers will be. We could lose a lot or gain a lot.

If I knew what I knew about our team right now and we were playing that schedule this year I would predict 8-4 with losses at Iowa, OSU, and Oregon and then the Gophers losing a game we all expect them to win, which seems to happen every year.

I echo gopherbadgerman that it's impossible to know at this point what our roster looks like and how good we will be. I will blindly guess 8-4 with losses to OSU, Oregon, Iowa, and Cal.

The nice thing is I only see two games that are near-guaranteed losses. The rest are anywhere from toss ups to us being heavy favorites.

Current roster: 9-3 likely or ceiling of 10-2
If we have a big drop off with Max leaving probably another 7-5 season.

Yeah, as the teams look right now this is a pretty nice schedule but we don't know how we will look or how most of them will look next year with the portal and the way players move around these days.

That said - 2 really tough road games with OSU and Oregon

@iowa is always tough but they won't have Kaleb Johnson and in general we have been right there with them in recent years.

If we are able to fill the holes we will have to fill in the off season there is a great opportunity to run the table at home next year.

Coming off a win in the Axe game I see 10-2.

Right before the season starts I'll be at 11-1.

After a early season loss at Iowa I'll be at 3-9.

When we crush Nebraska I'll be back to 8-4.

So probably 7-5.

And don’t forget after the first bad game we play early, the “After XX years as a fan/season ticket holder, I’m out/never watching another game/giving up my tickets/just plain giving up”, sentiments, or posts on this forum or others”. 😂😎👍

Went with 6-6.

Looks like another season with a bunch of one score games that could go either way.

I voted 9-3. I think that we could catch either Oregon or OSU in a close game at their place. Pendulum will swing down for at least one of those teams next season and would be a great opportunity for a huge win. Win 2/3 of the trophy games looks very possible.

Ohio St may be breaking in a new coach. Which could mean a lot of transfers. Would be best to play them as early in the season as we can.

So we’re starting 10-0 (if this was the schedule) and going to choke at the end and Backdoor into the CFP right? Schedule is extremely favorable next year aside from getting the big 2

If there's ever been a more accurate assessment of the ebbs and flows of the most of our sentiments, this is it.

Yes, that reason and the fact that the defense turned out to be better than expected after a prior season of erratic defense. You could say that our identity this season was a strong defense coupled with a consistent, workmanlike offense.

The defense was 5th in the conference in total defense and 6th in scoring defense. The offense was 9th in scoring offense and 13th in total offense. However, the scoring and general offensive production were pretty consistent: scored between 20 and 30 in 7 of the 12 games. So, the defense could expect Max & Co to get the team into the mid-twenties and not turn the ball over too much.

For real this is a super friendly schedule for us. If the entire d line is back and we either get another gamer through the portal at qb or Lindsey is ready, it could be a nice year. I refuse to predict any year to be special because I always get the rug pulled from under me in a complete head scratcher.

That schedule is not accurate ...
Ya, the guy who posted it is clueless. The first three games are in ink. The order after the first three games is random but I believe the opponents are accurate?

The gopher's official site doesn't even list the conference games ... makes me wonder if those too could be adjusted unexpectedly...

I think eight regular season wins is very much achievable. Get on a roll and I can also see 9-3.
