Has anyone here ever been a member of the Gopher Fan Advisory Board? How was your experience? Sorry for the general athletics question, but lacking a general forum, I wasn't sure where to post. Thanks!

Maybe I'll add to my question. Is anyone aware this group exists? Does anyone have any knowledge of accomplishments of the board? Would you ever have interest in serving? I know many universities have such a group, just not sure what people think of them.
I've always thought it would a neat experience. I would hope the groups are taken seriously by athletics departments that have them in place.

All I know is that years ago the U sent some emails about that advisory board, video of them trying out food items to be served at gameday ... I guess giving input on other things.

The U has really put extra effort into the gameday experience and etc, but I've no idea who the advisory board is or if they're very active anymore.

Even just going by this forum ... not sure I would want the U to take them TOO SERIOUSLY ... sometimes catering to the "same old fans" isn't the way to the future and there's no reason to think they've got great ideas. They might but ... not a sure thing.

I’m aware of it. I know people who have been on it. In typical U fashion it’s a pointless endeavor that they use to say they have it. Nothing will ever be accomplished by it. The people who run it are Dinks

They can't even do that right, being dinks ... I'm not on it...

Better to use large surveys and big data than an “advisory board” when you have a large set of customers. Why taste test the food with a few blue hairs for a web video when you can see for sure what 50k people buy each game day and what they don’t.

Other than “Gophers Win” I may have very different hopes for the fan experience from the person sitting next to me (I stand, for one) and a freshman student may as well.
