Gopher Basketball 2026 Summer Workout Thread (Videos, Tweets, Pics and More)

Nolan Anderson looks like he must be 6-8 or taller- a full 5-6" taller than Asuma- at least that's the way it looks.

He’s listed at 6’8” on the roster, but we know how inaccurate those can be (usually intentional exaggeration or under-reporting for one reason or another). He looks taller than I expected. Thinking of him as a wing anyway (doesn’t look strong enough to be a big). Could be another Bobby Durkin; long rangy shooter.

GI reports are that both Palmer and Grady are on the side with sprained ankles. No surgeries expected. Supposedly Grady’s is unrelated to his past ankle issues.
Get them both to "The Good Feet" store and make those boys some custom orthotics. Good foot support goes a long way in preventing injuries.

Ryan James offers some good public content, nice videos of practice today. Hard to tell much but I really liked the clips of Mpoyi - he moves well, is built well and appears to be athletic.

During the presser, Asuma and JCJ both called out Malik Kordel as the newcomer who has stood out the most. Can't wait to watch him in action!
So huge to have a couple of big options to defend with and create lob plays and pick and rolls on offense! In one of the clips that is exactly the stuff they were working with Mpoyi.

Malik offers the potential for a strong presence in the paint, something the top teams in the BIG have. IMO, this along with keeping the team healthy, are the two main factors in making this team competitive.

At this point, two of the teams strengths will be depth and versatility. I am looking forward to seeing all the different combinations and match ups Niko will employ.

We also have a lot of good shooters
