It looks like the Gophers are being proactive with trying to sell out the Bank - personally, I think a lot more could have been done internally. Either way, it's most important for Football to sell out and generate more revenue:
Gopher Athletics Announces Strategic Partnership with The Aspire Group
Gopher Athletics announced a strategic partnership with Atlanta-based The Aspire Group today. The partnership will create the first Fan Relationship Management Center (FRMC) in the Big Ten Conference, with the goal of helping Gopher Athletics maximize ticket sales revenue, increase attendance and build life-long relationships with fans.
“We are excited to be partnering with The Aspire Group to help us increase sales and grow attendance in a cost-effective manner,” said Jason LaFrenz, associate athletics director for external relations. “Aspire has a strong track record of developing true relationships and dialogue with fans, which is exactly what the University of Minnesota needs to expand our ticket sales base and fill TCF Bank Stadium with Gopher fans.”
The Aspire Group takes a hands-on approach to building relationships to generating ticket sales. The company’s business model has proven to be very successful in similar partnerships with Georgia Tech, Maryland, Rutgers and Arizona State.
“Aspire is thrilled to be joining forces with Minnesota Athletics and to connect and communicate with Gopher fans,” said Bill Fagan, General Manager - Fan Relationship Management, The Aspire Group. “Our main focus is building the fan base and providing a great fan experience when communicating about future athletic events.”
The FRMC will be located on the Minneapolis campus and include 12 ticket sales consultants and a manager. The FRMC will begin a proactive ticket sales and service campaign to strategically reach Gopher fans and alumni beginning in June.
