Gopher +12.5 vs Penn State

Tough line I don't think I'd touch. Like we're coming off a bye but PSU is really playing well.
Need to win the TO's and special teams, turn it into a Gopher meatgrinder win 19-18

This line seems about right, considering.

I like the fact that the game is at home. If we had taken care of business vs. Rutgers, we would be riding a five game winning streak. The home crowd would have been unbelievably enthusiastic for this game. But after laying an egg in Piscataway, I really don't know what to expect.

It would make me very happy if they could play their best against the Nittany Lions.

Penn State is hungry and have been trying to get over the hump. Gophers have the opportunity to put a damper on their hopes.

Watched PSU against Purdue yesterday and no doubt this game is this year's Gophers biggest lift.

The Gophers have at least had a letdown against Rutgers so that is done. Inspired play could go far.

As for the 12th Man, hoping the team gives the fans something to work with. We know TCF can be hostile if the effort doesn't gets deflated by repeated third down conversions and eventually the scoreboard.

PSU is not O-H-I-O State at least in our house. They expect to win and but can find it harder than thought when the stars line up. Hopefully that's the case for this one.

I saw a graphic highlighting that PSU has beaten no one other than Illinois with more than 5 wins. They barely beat Bowling Green and USC. The Gophers are the “best” team they’ve faced this year outside OSU. can’t believe they are ranked #4. This could be the cheapest “Top 5” win for the Gophers ever. Kind of like the win over “#11 USC.”

Penn State may or may not be a top 5 team but they 100% are a CFP caliber team and they proved that by going toe to toe with Ohio State. USC's ranking was driven by the preseason polls which hadn't been corrected yet by on the field play. But we are now 10 games in....so are well past that point.

Going to take a perfect game to beat Penn State but if we take care of the ball and catch some breaks anything can happen.
