Not sure if this is football or basketball related, but saw this tweet from Ryan Burns with GI:

I'm hearing very good news is coming this weekend for Gopher fans. Could be multiple "things" in motion. Stay tuned to GopherIllustrated.

Someone asked if it was recruiting related and he said yes. Suppose it could also be facilities as that is somewhat related to recruiting.

My feeling is facilities, but wow, Whitehead & Newton would make my week, month, and summer!
 

Now this is the type of thread I have been looking for on GH for quite some time now. Let the rumors begin!!!!!!!!!

Where is richmondinsider when we need him?
 



Burns is hearing from sources a few recruits may be close to pulling the trigger. Burns is he football guy so almost assuredly football related. I am quite sure Newton and Whitehead won't be committing until at least after their visit.

Ryan Burns handles Football. Ryan James handles basketball. This is definitely football related.

are you Ray Davies? I know a muscian in the TC that says Ray lives in the west metro. one of the few whom i would probably approach and say 'hey' at a home depot.

I'm with GophersinIowa. There's no law that says we can't bring in multiple guys on the d-line, size of class notwithstanding. If it is a "threat," I think that approach will backfire over the long term, so I hope that isn't going on.

I don't know if it's necessarily a threat, just the reality of the situation. Players know there are a limited number of slots open, and coaches let them know that during the recruiting process. Stelter was offered a long time ago and appears to be the #1 DE target, but the longer they wait on him the more they miss out on other prospects who end up committing somewhere else.
