Good Class, Now Where Are the Holes, If Any?

Play the first six games on the schedule and the coaches will know where the holes are and where they will be when the seniors leave. Nothing like a little reality to chase away the hype.

Great point! We should all just stop talking about our roster all together. We should only speak about what happened after a game and stop engaging in predictions and speculation about the team we follow. Only wins and losses matter. Any talk about the future of the team is unnecessary, right? Come to think of it, we should all just stop talking about the 2009 season because it hasn't taken place. Fricken ridiculous.

Why not just shut down the entire forum until football season is here again? We need to stop talking about this stuff!

Good idea, play 6 games and then start calling recruits at the positions that you have holes. How many recruits do you think you will get that way? Hint: recruits appreciate coaching staffs that were there first and have put in the work throughout the process because is shows their commitment. Not to mention that the coaches don't have the time to scout the players during the season when they're trying to watch film of the upcoming opponent and design and implement a game plan.

GophersInIowa = my post was sarcasm. Goldy74 chides any and all discussions about recruiting, star rankings, the future, etc. and he constantly trolls around threads that discuss these topics.

There are a number of folks that appear to be threatened by aggressive efforts to improve the football program. In their perfect world, we beat up on third-rate opponents, don't recruit too hard, and go to fourth-rate bowl games every year and, every once and while, pull off an upset. They had their perfect coach and see no reason for Brewster.

Tubtastic, I was actually trying to add to your sarcasm, and agree with what you're getting at.
