Golden Gopher Men’s Basketball to Host Open Scrimmage
The University of Minnesota men’s basketball program is opening the doors of Williams Arena to the public on Oct. 18 for what will be the first official showing of the 2013-14 Golden Gophers. The “Raise the Barn – First Look Scrimmage”, which will be in the format of an actual game, will begin at approximately 7:00 p.m. The Williams Arena doors will open at 6:00 p.m. in preparation for the scrimmage.
The “Maroon” & “Gold” rosters will be announced at a later date. For more information on the event, and all of the latest Gopher Basketball news, follow @GopherBBall on Twitter and be sure to use the hashtag #RaiseTheBarn throughout the season.
The Gophers open the 2013-14 schedule on Friday, Nov. 8 against Lehigh at Williams Arena. The game is scheduled to tip at 7:00 p.m. Minnesota will also host a pair of exhibition games, Nov. 1 vs. Cardinal-Stritch and Nov. 4 vs. Concordia-St. Paul. Both games are set to tip at 7:00 p.m.
