Give me Anthony Grant or Tad Boyle

I'd take Grant in a heartbeat at this point. I wish he'd done a bit more at Alabama, but he was almost as hot as Shaka when he was at VCU and it's not like he's been a disaster.

Grant would not be a bad choice at all. I would rate him right up there with Enfield, if Buzz is out of the picture.

Horrid offensive stats...........

My newly-revised list, along with the percentage-chance of hiring:
1. Buzz 10%...Good team, good money, good conference. Unlikely, he'd jump ship.
2. Miles 25%...Just finished his first year at Nebraska. Hard to envision him leaving already.
3. Boyle 25% ...He's already coaching close to his home.
4. Endfield 50%...USC is after him. He may see that as the better option.
5. Grant 60%...I think the odds could be even better than that. But I'm not sure he's a good fit here. Mack could be a good fit, but I noticed that he's an Ohio native and Xavier grad. I can't see him leaving there.

I believe these guys can coach, recruit and sell the program. Unfortunately,

DAmn it's almost a 200% chance that we end up with someone we aren't going to end up with!!!!!

Wow...I just heard rumors about Bobby Knight coming back and coaching the Gophers.

Minnesota has zero chance of getting Boyle. I have season tickets and he is adored here. We have a new practice facility, Boyle can recruit from California and Arizona where he is getting top recruits, nearly all the games were sold out this year (we had 5000 new season tickets sold for the 2012-13 season) and many season ticket holders tried to get more or better tickets last year and were unable to because of the demand. They could charge double and we would all happily pay. The atmosphere here is unbelievable and Boyle is a rock star. Also he doesn't do it for the money...he was making a good living when he was in a serious car accident and decided to do what he loved....and he started coaching. Like Kill's team...his Northern Colorado team with all his players went to the NCAA tournament the year he left. Here he has been the first coach to win so much...including the Pac-12 Tournament last year. We also love our AD and administration. If someone came after him, boosters would do whatever necessary to keep him put. My guess is only Kansas, his alma mater, would ever have a shot at him.

The Pac-12 is worse at basketball than the SEC.

Someone mentioned that Grant's team at VCU ran a lot more and was actually pretty up tempo.

No idea why he'd play so slow at Alabama. I believe Dickie V tweeted that sometimes coaches abandon their up tempo style when they go major because they get scared to lose their job.

Money talks.

When have the gophers ever shown the desire or ability to get and win in a bidding war. This is a school that still is paying back loans to the general fund because the athletic department couldn't afford the buyouts out of their own budget.

The Pac 12 may be worse than the SEC, but winning is fun...championships are fun...games in Colorado are just plain fun...kinda like the games I remember going to at Williams Arena decades ago. After 50 years of crappy basketball, Colorado is the hottest show in town...people talk about it more than Manning...

Plus you get to live in Boulder, major perk.
