It is nice, that was a pretty hard-fought contest between two rivals.

Found a way to gut it out, which is ALWAYS a good thing!!! Westbrook obviously likes end-of-game situations against the Badgers.

All and all, a pretty good night!!!!:D:D:D

Thanks for the link. The board has provided a few laughs for sure. Not close to the Kentucky meltdown, but they are holding their own.

I enjoyed the thread about the Strib article (thanks southfew).

One poster replied by saying:

They now need this win a LOT more than the Badgers do - not that that's an indication of the outcome, but what they show tonight will tell us a lot about the current state of Minnesota basketball.

Seems we got off to the good start and showed up in the right frame of mind. I would say the current state of Minnesota basketball is just fine! I would have to disagree however that this game meant a LOT more to the Gophers than the Badgers. They both needed it badly and we got it!
 

The best part is, it looks like we are a program going in a positive direction and the Badgers will not be as strong next year....going in the other direction.
 



Hearing the Battle Hymn at the end was sweet.

My only nit-picky complaint was that they should have played it right away after the end of the game, instead of going to the Rouser first.
 

We tried to pull out brooms at Sally's tonight but they had them hidden away. Very disappointed in that.
