Gatorade Bath at the end of the game? Classless Act...

I'm probably the only person here who thinks that the Gatorade bath has become so cliche that by its very nature it's become, if not classless, surely ridiculous.
Sports are supposed to be fun.

I get very tired of fans constantly throwing down the "classless" card, which appears to mean "any action taken by the other team/coach/fans that I don't like." I was a little taken aback, but NMSU just won a big game - let the kids celebrate.

When I saw the gatorade bath on television, I did think "I wonder how long it will be before a Minnesota fan calls this classless?" The answer, apparently, is 4 hours, which is longer than I expected.

The way to avoid these types of things, i.e. Gatorade bath, "Bulimia" going for two and not shaking hands is just TO WIN THE DAMN GAME! Otherwise, it just sounds like sour grapes. We lost, they did what they needed to win and they can celebrate it however they want (within reason).

Please ban popeyoung. That post was far past the bounds of appropriate.

+1. It was a truly classless post.

It was clearly a huge win for NMSU. The have been horribly bad the last two years and this will likely be the biggest win that any of those kids experience by far. If the situation didn't call for a gatorade bath I'm not sure what situation would. I agree that it would have been nice for them to tone it down until they got to the locker room but I just didn't have that big of a problem with it.
