Where do you think they gonna set up in Dinktown. Maybe by 3M Arena at Mariucci. other locations you see them setting up.
I was in Evanston also, guessing about 5k fans there in Maroon & Gold, I’d guess 20-25% of the total attendance. Gotta do the Mall, perfect spot just in front of Northrop. The mall would be the best but not sure where they are going to set up. All I know is that this is going to be a rough week for me. I can't take this. I am still trying to wrap my head around 10-1. I went to Evanston and that was the most Gopher fans I have ever seen at an away game. This is just nuts. Long suffering fans like myself rejoice. I have every way to lose a game and been to half empty stadiums. We deserve this.
Go Gophers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What would be worse optics for the "MN is Cold" narrative? Having it outside in the snow, or having it inside to hide from the snow and cold?If it snows watch them wuss out and do it inside the Pavilion.
30s and snowing is gorgeous and comfortable. What would be worse optics for the "MN is Cold" narrative? Having it outside in the snow, or having it inside to hide from the snow and cold?
I mean....just makes sense to close down some streets near the TCF Bank stadium right...atmosphere ain't the same if they're at the Northrup or Dinkytown? Lets shut down some side street like a festival and make it happen where they should be, right next to the stadium!
Will be at the mall. They do not care about the weather, they have an enclsed set. There will be no streets closed off. Could be in front of williams too.
I mean they shut down streets after the game anyways for traffic what difference would it make before the game people gotta learn to come earlierI mean....just makes sense to close down some streets near the TCF Bank stadium right...atmosphere ain't the same if they're at the Northrup or Dinkytown? What about the green space in the middle of Frontier, Territorial and the other dorms I can't think of right now? It's close to the stadium, big and would be easy to get a lot of student activity around the set!
im in florida right now and there wearing snowmobile suites and probably shutting down schools... its cold all over... bring in a ARMY of heaters spend extra money and make it flipping hot around where they set up..What would be worse optics for the "MN is Cold" narrative? That is what I would prefer. That way we can easily go back and forth from Gameday and our tailgate.Between Williams Arena and the open end of the Stadium. Allows the busses to run from the fair, and the back to the fair for a brat and a Pepsi. Closer to the lots to encourage the throng to arrive early.
What a Minnesota answer. How about, RIGHT WHERE THE GAME IS. And RIGHT WHERE THE FANS ARE. Sorry for shouting, I've been drinking trying to get through these last few nights before our game.Northrop Mall with Coffman Union in the background should be the choice IMO. Doesn’t disrupt traffic/flow or tailgating by the stadium while providing a natural space for a big group to crowd into.
