Game Times with West Coast

3:30 am start on Sunday for me this week. I won't be staying up to watch, and will watch the whole game when I return.

I’m in the minority but with two young kids night games are great. They are in bed, I can do a full normal weekend day with them (zoo, parks, ???) and guilt free watch the game and focus. Sunday AM a little early but a cold brew fixes that usually
Same feeling. I'm a night owl, so I think it's great. Plus with the bye next week, I get two full Saturdays to do stupid stuff I don't really want to do.

I'm mostly a night owl too. I used to chill down after Gopher wins with broadcasts of the PAC10/12 games after dark. Either arriving home from the game or if it was on the road watching college football all day - I always had some more college football viewing in me. I still enjoy west coast games with a night cap now that we have some west coast teams in the B1G. Occasionally I even fall asleep and get to be surprised when I wake up in the second half to find Team B has stormed back to take the lead on Team A. Its relaxing to me on a weekend evening.

So the only game time that affects me really is the 11:00 AM starts at home. I know some people like that but I hate those AM starts. It totally shrinks up the tailgate despite having to get up so early and the stadium atmosphere always feels a bit more subdued than it is with afternoon or evening kickoffs.

The other monkey wrench for me is a Gopher loss. I usually don't feel like watching other games if the Gophers have lost. I'll even turn to a Saturday night movie sometimes if the Gophers have lost, depending how much I need to take my mind off of it.

Wait until you get old like me. You'll probably feel the opposite about early versus late games....lol

That feels like a compliment because I am pretty sure I am an old guy in this community. :D
