Game 6: Gophers Host Stony Brook (11-26-23)

I liked that Stony Brook defense threw new things like a press and the Gophers handled it. Was nice to have some real competition outside of the UCONN game. Playing better teams will make this team better. As another poster said got to solve 3rd quarter woes. Gophers played a good game especially on D and the boards. Good to see Sophie Hart score, have her more involved deliberately. More weapons means more wins.

It was a fun game to be at. I really enjoyed watching Sophie go to work, calling for the ball, pivoting, and putting it up mor often. And today they actually threw it TO her, rather than at her feet. The guards have to adjust to her height, but I feel that as a season goes on and they get more used to each other, that will come more fluently.
