What’s the serious recruiting challenge at Purdue? I assume it’s academics at NW.

IU, Notre Dame, Illinois, Cincinnati, Louisville all within ~2-3 hour drive. There’s plenty of talent in the area, but not that much — and getting them to come to the town of West Lafayette on top of out-recruiting all those schools is challenging.

And yes, academics at NW…plus traditionally underwhelming facilities (GREATLY on the upswing now).

I agree with this. My dad’s whole family lives in Minnesota. He moved here to California when he was 20. I was born n raised in California and I’m the biggest Goph fan I know including the Minnesota fam and friends I have…….. they are 100% Vikings (I’m a Vike fan too SKOL) n could care less about the Gophs. They missing out tho. I love attending Goph games. I’m 35. First real Goph memory is actually the basketball Final 4 97’
