Hey guys,

thought a few might be interested in this - Foster Bush, the #1 rated OLine and #9 overall WI recruit who previously committed to NIU, now plans to attend Minnesota next fall. Rivals profile and highlight video attached. I don't know much about the kid but it's always exciting to grab another recruit and he looks pretty impressive based on his stats/highlights in the video!

Whew! For a minute there, I thought you said Foster Brooks!

Welcome Mr. Bush!

Welcome Foster! The number 1 lineman in MN teams up with the number 1 lineman in Wisky. This bodes well for the future.

If we don't get Bjorklund because of this kid thats horsesh!t. Bjorklund > Bush. Hopefully I'm wrong, but we seem to have a lot of O Linemen in the last 2 classes, not sure how much more room there can be?

Let's get this straight--you are complaining about having too many offensive lineman? Too much potential talent? On a team that has been a disaster on the line for the last several years?

From what I've read, it's Kill's pattern to red-shirt all his in-coming O-linemen, so there would probably be room for Bjorklund, although with the addition of Bush, we have five OLs in this class. As far as I'm concerned, you never have enough linemen.

Also, what if the kid from Florida decommits? Did Bjorklund get an scholarship offer yet?

I'm sure the sconnie people all say "we didn't want him. He's not good enough."

When I looked at NIU's commit list right after Kill's hire, I figured that if any of Kill's NIU commits were going to switch, it would be this kid, mostly because he's a 3-star and from Wisconsin. I'm a little disappointed that we're offering a scholarship to someone with NIU, Western Michigan, and Illinois St. offers, but there is something to be said for taking the #1 OL recruit in Wisconsin. And, if you compare him to the leftovers that Brewster was forced to sign in January/February of 2007, he looks like Anthony Muñoz.

Weird, sonny blowing his top over some recruiting news that conflicts with his current fave HS kid. This NEVER happens...

You build a program by building a strong foundation!!! You get the big uglies in the trenches!!!

Go Gophs!!

Buck the Fadgers!! I hate Iowa!!

Rivals still has him listed as a solid verbal for NIU; do you have another link about his committing to the Gophs?

Roof collpses at TCF Bank Stadium

December 15, 2010, 10:37 AM, Minneapolis Minnesota.

Roof collapses at TCF Bank Stadium.

"This collapse of our roof has exposed our stadium to over 19,000 pounds of air pressure per square yard," stated University of Minnesota Athletic director Joel Maturi. [1] "It also leaves the field exposed to electromagnetic radiation, most notably in a range between 390 and 750 nanometers," continued Mr. Maturi. [2] "Our physics department has indicated that looking directly at this radiation source can be dangeroud for extended periods of time. People whose bodies have been exposed to this radiation source have often experienced symptoms such as a darkening of the skin." [3]

In addition, sources in the Chemistry department have noted that the roof collapse has left TCF Bank Stadium exposed to Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO) [4], both in its crystalline and molten form. Dihydrogen monoxide:

is called "hydroxyl acid", the substance is the major component of acid rain.
contributes to the "greenhouse effect".
may cause severe burns.
is fatal if inhaled.
contributes to the erosion of our natural landscape.
accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals.
may cause electrical failures and decreased effectiveness of automobile brakes.
has been found in excised tumors of terminal cancer patients.
Despite the danger, dihydrogen monoxide is often used:
as an industrial solvent and coolant.
in nuclear power plants.
in the production of Styrofoam.
as a fire retardant.
in many forms of cruel animal research.
in the distribution of pesticides. Even after washing, produce remains contaminated by this chemical.
as an additive in certain "junk-foods" and other food products.

This is my question too, it would be nice to see something about this from a credible source.

For what it's worth, this randomly showed up on my newsfeed on Facebook (he's a friend of a friend), and he commented that he is following Kill to Minnesota.

Well, he didn't have an offer, but he was on their board. They liked him in camp, and if they didn't get commitments from Ball and Marz, he may have been one of the next guys to get an offer.

Translation: "They cooled on him".

Considering they never offered him, I don't think they were ever "hot" on him. I understand the cooling thing has been thrown around in the past, but doesn't really apply here.

I know, it looks like Bush was in a similar situation to how Bjorklund is at the U. I think they were taking a wait and see approach and might have still offered if things worked out differently with their commits remaining solid. I was just giving the Bucky fans that feel the need to come onto a Gopher football message board and talk Badgers some grief.

I think that Wisconsin was never serious about Foster Bush because he not a great fit for their system. I think that he projects out to be a 300 lb class guard. Wisconsin likes them to be at about 320 IMHO.

Yeah, he seems a bit smaller than they'd prefer. All of their starters are over 315 lbs so I imagine his weight does play a role in why he wasn't a priority for them. He also doesn't seem to have the build of a guy that can add a ton of weight in college. Take Tyler Marz for example, at 6'8" 280 he is leaner than Bush, however he has the build where he could get up to 325 pretty easily.

Is there any chance Marz could flip to maroon and gold? I don't know his whole story I guess.
