- Brennan Rigsby is at Radford and averaging 5.3 pts a game on just 21.6% 3 point shooting
- Frank Mitchell is at St Bonaventure, averaging 15.3 pts and 10.3 reb.
- Kadyn Betts has played just 4 games for Montana, averaging 3.3 pts in 5.8 minutes a game.
- Tyler Cochran is averaging 14.9 pts for Rhode Island. This is his 7th year in college and 5th program.

- Kris Keinys still shows as on the Pacific roster but has not played this year. Averaged 2.6 pts in 21 games last year.
- Isaiah Ihnen shows as on the Liberty roster but has not played this year. Averaged 10.4 pts in just 11 games last year. Had another knee injury last December and is apparently still fighting to get back from that.
- Joshua Ola-Joseph moved on to Loyala after a year at Cal, averaging 6.6 pts a game in 7 games.
- Braeden Carrington is with the badgers after a year in Tulsa, averaging 5.8 pts a game in 15.1 minutes a game.
- Pharrel Payne is back in the BT as well with Maryland after a year with Texas A&M. Averaging 18.9 pts and 6.8 reb in 8 games. Had what looked like a bad injury early in the season but appears to be just fine.

- Jaden Henley is with his 4th team in 4 years after going from MN to Depaul to UNLV and now at Grand Canyon. Had a nice year last year averaging 12.5 for UNLV. Off to a great start with GCU averaging 18 pts in 8 games.

I think that's it for guys still playing college ball.

Obvs Pharrel is the most Payneful departure.

But man, Frank Mitchell hit the portal immediately after Ben got fired. It took him a while, but he really found his groove down the stretch last year. I wonder if he could have fit into Niko's system. He was an underrated passer and just a beast on the offensive boards. I think we probably have two more wins if he were on the roster (and healthy).

I would have liked to see Mitchell with this current roster. He is one that definitely got better last year as the season went on.

But looks like he found a great landing spot for his skill set.

And apparently he's gotten better at free throw shooting. All the way up to 58% this year.

Payne, Mitchell, Cochran, and Henley are all producing, albeit only Payne is at the power 4 level.

Mitchell was the 2nd best big by the end of last season. He would have been nice had he stayed, but I doubt we also get Vaiholoa, who is very similar, and wouldn't you know it, currently hurt.

Likewise, if Henley would have stayed, I doubt Tyson is here.

He was the only hustler we had in the floor last year. Moved with confidence and strength.

You're right. Happened fast.

March 13th, 2025: Announcement that Ben was fired

March 19th: Mitchell enters transfer portal

March 25th: Mitchell commits to Saint Bonaventure

He didn't sit in the portal long. He is from the Toronto area and Saint Bonaventure is only a 3.5 hour car ride from there. I am curious about whether there was any effort to keep him here.

Ones like this sting the most. Comes here, is injured, doesn't play at all, and then enters the transfer portal the day after Ben's firing is announced. Now he's having a very productive year so far. From the evidence, it seems more likely than not that he could have played last season but decided to save a full year of eligibility for another program.

It did seem like that. 2 yr pay for 1 yr play.
