Per Jake:

Before his coaching and teaching career begins, Bursch will make his final appearance at Malosky Stadium as a player — much to his chagrin — when the Bulldogs take on Concordia-St. Paul in a noon kickoff.

“This will for sure be my last (home game), I’ve used every ounce of eligibility I can,” Bursch said, drawing a laugh. “I love this game, but I love the teammates and the friends and family I’ve created here and they really kind of took me in, especially transferring from the Twin Cities.”

Bursch arrived on campus in 2019 after competing as a tight end with the Gophers over his two seasons with the program, struggling to find his niche. Upon arriving to the Duluth campus, Bursch attempted to make the switch to offensive line before settling into the position of interior defensive lineman, where he’s remained ever since.

Go Gophers!!

The NSIC is fun to follow. Always a couple of teams in the top 25 among D2 teams. Good quality FB. Easy-access stadiums.
