Former #Badgers HC Barry Alvarez RIPS Badger “fans”, calls them “spoiled rotten” and more! This is so fun!!!

True but the one difference for Wisconsin is I think their fans are really struggling to understand where they fit in this new college football landscape.

They had a really good run but the reality is that like us their ceiling is in that second tier with the hope of getting into the top tier from time to time. Nebraska fans have struggled with accepting this same reality for quite some time.

So when Chryst stopped winning double digit games every year they convinced themselves that he was the problem when in reality it probably had far more to do with the world of college football in this current era.

And on a side note.....could they really not afford to get a little more light on that set in the video.....looked like they were filming in some basement somewhere. :)
I think I see where Barry is coming from in terms of what his career looked like at Wisc, in that he had a whole lot of average seasons, but he capitalized and made the most of his really good seasons. As the list below shows, Barry only had one back-to-back double-digit win seasons (98 - 99) and then a smattering of average seasons. I think the Wisky fans are delusional if they think they can produce a lot of 10+ win seasons in this new environment, as they really never have. Barry's record:
  • 1990: 1-10
  • 1991: 2-9
  • 1992: 5-6
  • 1993: 10-1-1
  • 1994: 8-5
  • 1995: 3-8
  • 1996: 8-4-1
  • 1997: 8-4
  • 1998: 11-1
  • 1999: 10-2
  • 2000: 9-4
  • 2001: 5-7
  • 2002: 8-5
  • 2003: 7-5
  • 2004: 9-3
  • 2005: 10-3

Interesting. I see 119-72-4 overall record at Wisky. Thought it was better than that. But also 3 Big Ten titles, 3 Rose Bowls victories.

UW played in the shty big ten west similar to how the 1970s vikes played in a division with gb, det and the bears. Best of the worst.

Visited Buckyville and it is just fine. They know suck when they see it. They just see suck when they look at us too (which arguably has never been anything else that is also just fine).

Hopefully not. Let's beat Rutgers.

Booing college football players (and basketball players for that matter)? I used to think booing them was a bad thing and only reserved for the pros.

Not anymore, in this day and age of paid athletes and yearly transfers.

If I’m Wisconsin I give Fickell a lifetime contract starting at $7 million. It goes up 10% a year in perpetuity. They owe him $200 million if they fire him before 2050. He is free to leave of course.

Becky is staring down decades of suck, just like the old days!
Bwahahahaha!!!

Barry was down at the Mayo Clinic quite a few years ago and was in the hospital when the gophers were playing the badgers. I think he might have been having a hip replaced, but can't really remember.

Anyway, I know a nurse who worked on the same floor that Barry was on. She said he was the biggest azzhole they ever had on the floor. She couldn't stand him. She said during the game you could hear the f-bombs and screaming out in the halls. He was rude to everyone.
here is why he was at the Mayo Clinic
