For those of you concerned about section numbers...

They installed visible section numbers at the top in the lower deck today...I know a few people raised the point that you couldn't tell section numbers other than the ones in the concourse.

Yup that was a pretty egregious error, but oh well. Band will make do.

Also, there's some kind of construction going on in Bruinink's suite. Not sure what that's about.

The section can handle 325 members, but with gear the space each member needs is approximately the same as 1.5 people. So even though this year's band is 320 members they need space for approx 450.

To update on that. I've heard and seen in pictures that the clarinets sit next to the pit on portable bleachers and the colorguard will stand off to the side or sit in the corner. The rest of the band is packed into the pit.

So if the stadium is the "bank" making the student section the "vault" does that make the band pit the "safety deposit box?"
