Florida International tight end Jonnu Smith will miss the rest of the season after sustaining severe burns on his upper body, according to the Miami Herald.

Police have arrested Smith’s girlfriend, Mary Gaspar, who is five months pregnant with Smith’s child, for pouring boiling water on him. She has been charged with aggravated battery.
