Jedd Fisch took in all of today's Vikings practice, and afterward, had about a 15-minute chat with head coach Brad Childress.

good for him. Hope he got something useful out of it.

I hope Fisch mixes it up a little bit next year.

Maybe some wildcat with Weber under center.

I hope so too. It kills me that Peterson is likely going to easily fall short of 2,000 total yards again. Fisch knew how to maximize his best player (i.e. Decker). If Chilly can pick up a few pointers from Fisch, we might see Peterson start getting some more productive touches.

Wildcat with Weber under center? Isn't that called the spread? If the QB is taking the snap, i don't think that qualifies. Now, if Troy S. was taking the snap with Whaley in Jet motion and Gray split out.......that could be an interesting look. A receiver that can run and throw and a QB that was more than a decoy at WR.

He should have brought Weber along. You never know what he could have picked up from Bret Favre!!

Yeah, maybe they'll hire him away to coach Brett Favre, lol. You could have made Eric Decker look good, didn't Dunbar too.

A lot of offenses could be called "the spread". There is no such thing as "the spread", there are many different types of spread offenses.

I just hope Fisch didn't see any new formations that are "musts" to be incorporated into the game plan for the Insight Bowl. I think things are complicated enough.

I think Fisch should have 12 plays they run 100 times in practice so they can run them correctly in the games

I hope he had one question to ask Childress, "if I was to throw out one half of the playbook, which half should it be?"

To which Childress would answer, "the one that didn't work"

To which Fisch would answer, "To clarify, just so I understand better, let's say that 90% of the play book didn't work, and I only wanted to throw out half..."

That'd be a great recruiting tool :)!!! Just think of our advantage against the rest of the Big-10 (Hell, it'd devastate the SEC, lol), it'd level the scales for us city slickers, that's for sure.

Be careful...that sounded schill and critical. Some troll might get the wrong idea.

Really? Thanks for the football lesson Dr. Saturday. I know there are many variations of the spread offense. The point was, his description was not what is commonly considered The Wildcat.

........now go ahead and tell us that there is no Wildcat and that it's just a variation of the old single wing.....we promise to be impressed.

For those who have failed to realize it to the point, ^^^^ sarcasm at its finest. Always is.
