University of Minnesota running back Mohamed Ibrahim was named Third Team All-America by the Associated Press earlier this week. He is the third Gopher to be named an All-American in the last two years, joining Antoine Winfield Jr. and Rashod Bateman who were both honored in 2019. Winfield was named a unanimous All-American, while Bateman was placed on the Third Team by the Associate Press.
The last time Minnesota had three All-Americans during a two-year span was 2004-05 when Greg Eslinger (2004), Mark Setterstrom (2004, 2005) and Laurence Maroney (2005) were honored.
