Today we have 5 bubble teams under consideration, but there are only 2 at-large spots to fill in the NCAA field. If you were on the Selection Committee, which teams would you recommend your fellow committee members select? At around 3:15-3:30 I'll identify the 5 teams & see which 2 we selected as a committee. If you have an inkling who any of these teams are, please don't speculate in the thread.

I am not providing the team names or their RPI number, but all four have RPIs in the range (#35-55) one could generally could expect to find most bubble teams.

"Blind Resume"? Was it being guarded by Adam Woodbury?

Sorry, I'll show myself out.

I like these exercises.

I choose B and D

D is clearly in based on record vs top 100. This is a team that could go on a run in the tournament.

Waffled between B and E for second spot. Took B because of best three wins.

Given how close these teams are, it might be useful to separate neutral and road records.* To me a road win is worth more than a neutral win.

*Just a suggestion as I am not the one compiling the data.

B and C, but I'm not impressed with any of these.

Fun little exercise. They're close, but I'm going to go with Team B and Team E. Team B because it has the highest quality wins, only one bad loss (and it's not that bad), has a respectable winning percentage with a respectable strength of schedule. Team E because of its decent record with Top 100 teams (in 13 games), very respectable strength of schedule, and only one loss to a relatively low rated team.

I want B for sure (only one bad loss and just barely AND on the road?), I had a tough time on the second one but went with D

Our final 2 teams are Team B and Team D

I went with Team B and Team E. The final vote tally was as follows:

Team B = 6 (#48 Illinois)
Team D = 3 (#41 Old Dominion)
Team E = 2 (#52 Oregon)
Team C = 1 (#47 Michigan State)
Team A = 0 (#38 Boise State)

Interesting that the teams with the best RPI (Boise State) and the worst RPI (Oregon) didn't make the cut.

I'm wrong more than I'm right, but I'd go with Illinois and Michigan St.
RPI in top 49 and Major Conference.
Top 49-50 and Major Conference pretty much gets you in.

Good thing these are blind! It would be tough for me to take Old Dominion over Michigan State if I knew who they were... Wonder if the committee puts any weight on Izzo as a coach, given what he's done in the past. Isn't fair to look at coaches at all, but it would be hard to overlook him.
