To me the basic deficiency has been the offensive line, I look for push to see if we match up physically. I don’t recall seeing much push against even Buffalo. Our short yardage offense was horrific, couldn’t pick up a yard on 3rd and 4th down numerous times. That forces trick plays or short passing when one shouldn’t be necessary. When it came down to a hat on a hat, we lost mostly, gotta be fixed or…..

That said I think the regression of Lindsay and maybe even AK can be, not getting much time to throw, which cumulatively leads to more loss of confidence as a season progresses. Another thing that has seemed glaring is our lack of separation by the receivers, even our best are always in a rasslin’ contest for numerous balls a game.
Lindsay does move OK in the pocket but in college a lack of mobility in the QB can be a problem.

I disagree that Lindsay regressed. He had his best game of the year in game 11. Played well in difficult weather in 12 and played well in the bowl.

Not getting explosive passing plays not always on the QB, IMO


I agree that AK got the yips, could be and OL. Could be coaching. Could be his girlfriend broke up with him. We will Never know exactly why

I agree wholeheartedly that our QB has regressed significantly much like Athan did at Minnesota. This is a major problem. I think our coaches have made things way more complicated than need be. The analyst in the bowl game gave an example of a Gopher play that Lindsey has to call which contains something like 30 plus words.

I think our coaches are idiots. Im confident a proven successful OC could take our existing players and double our production. Our current offense is incompetent and pathetic. And, the coaches don't really trust Lindsey. Hence the crazy number of throws no farther than the line of scrimmage. If you watch a lot of football, which most of you do, how can you not see the GLARING difference between our offense and dozens of other team's offense. Look no further than Northwestern. I'd take their offense in a heartbeat. OK, I'm done. Had to get this off my chest. It's so unbelievably obvious. But Fleck is unmoved by the ineptitude. It's mind boggling.

Key words: “more complicated than need be.” In a violent, high speed contest, undue complexity can stifle performance and hang an anchor on athleticism.

I guess I think for a younger quarterback not improving is akin to regressing. Seemed to me to throw on time less than the beginning of the season. Just speculating, I guess no one really “knows”.

Harbaugh will be gone next year if QB and offense don’t improve. I think it’s that simple. I think they will be better.
