Final day of the draft

3 more Gophers taken on the last day. Buske was take in the 33rd round by the Marlins, Sexton taken by the Brewers in the 37th and Nohelty taken in the 38th round by the Mariners. I see the Twins stayed with the homestate theme after taking McCallum and Decker yesterday, they took Arron Senne from the University of Missouri in the 32nd round and Ryan Abrahamson of Tartan in a late round. It sounds like he is still going to play for the Gophers.

A note I saw in the Jordan paper:

Oakes brothers go undrafted

Jordan brothers Tyler and T.J. Oakes went undrafted in this year's Major League Baseball Entry Draft that concluded on Thursday afternoon.

T.J., who recently graduated from Jordan High School, had the higher projection going into the draft but made it clear that he would honor his committment to the University of Minnesota which probably kept teams from selecting him.

Tyler recently completed his eligibilty for the Gophers and is now pitching for the Jordan Brewers.
