Because NE plays a light big10 schedule (7 games against the top 5 teams vs gopher's 9 games) they have less of a chance to raise their RPI

Being a gopher and big10 fan I'm hoping for 7 teams making the tourney
 

I'm hoping for 7 as well, but that's pretty tough to pull off.

If this league was going to get 7, Illinois would have had to be where Nebraska is right now.
