The first thing that came to mind when I looked at this picture, right before "why is Tim Brewster laying on the ground during a game", is "we need to get these uniforms back right when Brew is fired",
When brewster goes, will we see a new generation/flock of wren-loons who sit here night and day singing his praises?
I'm guessing no one will miss Brew, but I'm sure we will get to hear from you in three years when the newest coach runs into problems.
Correct, while you sit on your hands and watch the toilet overflow........
the fact he was quoted as saying the program will be fine once he gets his own recruits in
The "Pro-Brewster" types on here are just as delusional as Mr. Brewster is himself is! Ok he's positive but other than that I haven't seen one good argument for keeping this bum around. I think its hilarious he keeps saying its a process and next year, next year, next year, blah blah blah! Also Tim thinks that he has the Pres. and AD wrapped around his finger, ok maybe Maturi. He doesn't know his X's & O's, coordinators leaving every year(I get it, some (1) for better opportunities), numerous recruits backing out on there verbal commitments which gets left out of conversations. Didn't Wacker grab all the leftovers from TX as well!! Mason at least grabbed upper tier talent from the midwest for the most part. This guy is clearly nuts the more he keeps running his mouth! I've never been so frustrated watching a program fall apart with this Jabroni running the show. Seriously wake up Brew-Crew types, get off his u know what. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Ummm...yes we do after listening to how this guy is the greatest thing next to sliced bread for nearly four years.....I guess this type of thread was predictable, all the worst characters on GH piling on, mutilating a dead horse.
You guys feel good now?
Really, really sad and pathetic.
Congrats everyone, you were right.
The coach that talked overly positively, made lofty goals and dared to state them publicly, supported and hyped his players endlessly, worked himself ragged recruiting nationally and positively promoting the university all over the country has failed. You all must be really happy now.
BTW, this has nothing to do with the W-L, or how bad a place we find our program now, this has to do with a personal vendetta many of the proud posters on this thread have. Don't sell it any other way. I personally even think he should be let go today, ASAP. But I won't gleefully roll in his failures like a pig in slop.
The guy was hired to win, he sold out to do it and failed, Rose bowl or bust, he busted.
Let it go and move on to ripping the H out of the next coach. You know you will.

Good for you.
Gotta love small people soaking in other peoples failures to make themselves seem relevant.
Can't wait to hear what you think about our next coach, god help him if he doesn't immediately rip the hell out of everyone and everything associated with the U of MN.
We all know how terrible our program, players, and university are.
Defensive plays that sealed the Illinois victory! Much better times.
I also loved the Purdue game on the road in 2008. Weber took that game by the horns in the 4th qtr.
Dude...relax. This list was meant to funny and a way to vent. If you don't like it don't respond and open yourself up to ridicule and criticism for being like a Mom who's 5 year old is getting picked on at the playground.
Sorry if I don't want to play your cute game.
The MSU game last year was pretty darn fun under the lights as well.
What did you want him to say? "Our goal is to be mediocre". "Hey, I was hired with about 2 weeks until signing day, and this under-sized guy was the best I could find, I think he sucks, but at least I found a body".
Are you going to immediately dismiss the next coach that comes in here and says the goal is to make it to the Rose Bowl? Are you going to start booing a recruit he says has potential?
Get over it. I wouldn't want a coach to show up at my front door unless he said, and thought that he can take this team to the promised land.
How about the 2008 Northwestern game. The Gophers -- 7-1 and ranked #17 in the country -- were tied 17 - 17 with 47 seconds left on our OWN 14 yard line. Instead of running out the clock, Brew opted to go for broke and passed on 1st & 2nd down; both incompletions. Luckily, Weber hooked up with Decker on 3rd down so that we didn't have to punt with 30-something seconds left deep in our own territory. Brew ran a draw, called timeout, then called a 15-yard out route to Decker that was tipped, picked and returned for a TD with like 12 seconds left.
You couldn't script this sh*t. What a joke. Completely unforgivable coaching at this moment. Brew had some real doozies of unforgivable moments, but this one really stands out to me.
I just don't think it's funny, or good for anything. It opens this place up to garbage like "villifier" and folks who legitimately are loving this program's meltdown right now. Venting at the cost of what?
It's like the guy on Sat. that stood the whole second half cheering for NIU and booing when the Gophers made a play, or the tool in the Ohio State hat that would chant Fire Brewster and Bench Weber at the USC game until the tide turned, then he sat quietly, definitely not cheering FOR the Gophers, then proceeded once the game was lost. These characters do not need a place to pile on or "vent" here. Go to some iowee or wisky board for that.
Nobody is stopping anyone from posting more positive classic/favorite moments.
The Air Force win was a very special night.
I remember getting ripped for the same reaction after it happened. I agree it was a horrible coaching decision. You may have noticed that Brew has completely gone away from the "riverboat gambling" style of coaching since. A nice "medium" would be nice.
