I have a few friends who worked there, started seeing the writing on the wall and left.

Sucks for me. They were a good source of free tix for me.

And ESPN+ sucks. Freezes during commercials all the friggin' time, requiring a refresh if I'm watching it on a device, or restarting the app if I'm watching it through cable.

So are advertisers just not paying enough to make it work? I

I have no idea if this is it, but they did have bad timing. They bought a company with a ton of debt and all of the regional sports networks are losing viewership. Their plan was to buy a ton of them and then merge them into one entity and I just think the amount of debt they had to take on is insurmountable at this point.

Probably was the debt. Surprising that they would take on the debt rather than just buy the assets.
