No matter what happens everybody can spin things to their side.
If Davis goes to USC. Brewster Detractor: "See, Brewster just can't build a program! Kids in trouble, every coach he hires is incompetent or if they aren't they bolt the first chance they get!"
Brewster Supporter: "See, Brewster keeps picking the right guys but those guys are also in demand elsewhere. You can't blame Davis for leaving, until Brewster gets an extension you can't blame a guy for looking out for his future".
Davis Stays. Detractor: " See, nobody else wanted the guy in the first place. He was a pencil pusher in Alabama and the O-Line sucks."
Davis Stays. Supporter:" See, even though a school like USC makes a run at Davis, Brewster gets him to stay. Next year, with some real talent to work with, the O-Line makes the Offense go."
Jedd Fisch? You can plug a lot of the same arguments in plus "He needs to stay for continuity" or "now they can bring another Pro-Style guy in who can get rid of half of that damn playbook".
It's always a 'win/win" situation here at Gopherhole!
