Who TF is "Nacho?"The noise I've seen is mainly from UNC fans musing on whether they should wait for what they consider better than Evans or shoot now and settle for him. If I were Nacho, I'd use that arrogance in my pitch to him.

Watch your mouth, Flyboy.Who TF is "Nacho?"
Of course we don't know, but it doesn't seem like any of the guys we signed so far are breaking the bank at $1 million +. So they should be able to offer Evans a bag. Unless the Dawson Garcia rumor is true. The noise I've seen is mainly from UNC fans musing on whether they should wait for what they consider better than Evans or shoot now and settle for him. If I remember correctly, his spell checker changed Niko to Nacho…..Who TF is "Nacho?"
Offer them both the bag. UTSA styleOf course we don't know, but it doesn't seem like any of the guys we signed so far are breaking the bank at $1 million +. So they should be able to offer Evans a bag. Unless the Dawson Garcia rumor is true.
I don't like NIL very muchI’ve cooled on him.
It's understandable. UNC is still UNC, with all its prestige and history and powder blue uniforms. And money, to be sure.
I'd rather have guys that want to be here, where the athletes take the same classes as the rest of the student body.
You could've been part of the beginning of something big here, Kyan. Toodles.
Perhaps the Gophers can beat them in the tourney one of these years. Our new coach advanced further there than they did last season. Here's to many more.Pretty obvious decision for a 20-year-old athlete to make. Chapel Hill is beautiful, it barely snows, UNC campus is insane and he's the man everywhere he goes. And, oh yeah, there's that thing about winning and getting to the tourney almost every season.
It would take 2x to get me to pick Minneapolis over Chapel Hill. No need for anyone to be up in arms, plenty of players out there.
Great call.Hey everyone, I’ve been a bit bold in the past with my info, I know (still think Dawson may come back, and yes he has another year), but I feel pretty confident to say this time my source claims that Evans to MN is pretty much a done deal from sources of people in the know of the cbb world. Medved’s gonna get his guy!
The Big Ten has always been an academically rigorous conference, and I hope it always will be. Michigan just turned an athlete away for scholastic reasons. That would never happen at North Carolina. What a joke.Walking away in two (2) years with $2.5M in cash and a PhD in NBA Jam 2026 without ever attending a class is a tough offer for any school to beat.
I tried to mash enough of them in my post to cover the both of us.Yes this is sour grapes.
Evans to the U WAS thought to be pretty much a done deal 8 days ago until UNC started sniffing around and eventually offered well more than the U was willing to pay. No need to be a prig. PMac95 has been a solid poster.Great call.
You speak for me. He's a heck of a player and really flashed in the tournament, but he hasn't had the points production to warrant that kind of payout, in my opinion. The U would have been foolish to even try to match that.Frankly, I’m surprised that UNC appeared to make him a priority. He would’ve been a solid get for us, but I would have thought he would be plan C for them with their Blue Blood status and available cash. I will be interested to see what kind of role he has on their team next year.
Anyone who would choose to wear light blue uniforms without being paid a lot of money has some serious questions to answer. It's understandable. UNC is still UNC, with all its prestige and history and powder blue uniforms. And money, to be sure.

No matter what his role is, he will make an agent a really nice commission. He’s a classic example of a player who needs to cash in now because the likelihood of a big payday in the pros is low. Payne, Hawkins and Garcia are similar.Frankly, I’m surprised that UNC appeared to make him a priority. He would’ve been a solid get for us, but I would have thought he would be plan C for them with their Blue Blood status and available cash. they are also very very good at cheatingPretty obvious decision for a 20-year-old athlete to make. Chapel Hill is beautiful, it barely snows, UNC campus is insane and he's the man everywhere he goes. And, oh yeah, there's that thing about winning and getting to the tourney almost every season.

But there is no cheating anymore so that variable is no longer a factor.they are also very very good at cheating
Piggybacking on your comment. Are academics even a thing anymore? You never hear of a player being academically ineligible. Are players just smarter? Are classes easier? Are tutors better? I find it hard to believe the way players are jumping from team to team every year, that they are even thinking about going to class. Are there even standards anymore that a player must meet to stay academically eligible? But there is no cheating anymore so that variable is no longer a factor.
Go on youtube and look up "Florida Gators' First Class After Winning". The interviewer asks every player what their first class back after winning will be - none of them could answer. A couple of them didn't even understand the question.Piggybacking on your comment. Are academics even a thing anymore? You never hear of a player being academically ineligible.
