Fitzgerald is so overrated. 27-37 in the Big Ten.
Can you honestly say you wouldn't have taken Fitz in a heartbeat to coach the Gophers as recently as say, October 1, 2013?

Someone doesn't get the bit.
Right before he piloted what was supposed to be his best team at NU to a 1-7 record? I'll admit his stock was higher then.
Very true. Common man doesn't get the bit either. His show has NO content what so ever.
Common man is a waste of a spot on KFAN! I turn it immediately after PA. I listen to KFAN to listen to sports, not his rambling.
Someone doesn't get the bit.
PA is probably the worst sports talk show host I've ever listened to in my life. It's like listening to a big bag of wind deflating.
^^^^^^^^^^^ This is spot on.
Common purposefully doesn't delve into the nuances that we do for ANY of the major sports. He's at best the casual fan of casual fans. And he does it to get people like many GHers here and Rosen all riled up. And when he's not trying to get people riled up, he's just being super casual.
The more people that get the bit and understand where he's coming from, the less stress they would have about his show. It's very VERY entertaining.
So please explain! Is everything regarding the Gophers a "bit"? Or only about recruiting? Or only about Kill being a good Coach? My take on it is that anything positive regarding the Gophers requires a "bit", but anything negative deserves to be agreed with. And what about the other teams in town? Is everything Viking related a "bit"? My point here is that there is nothing consistent in his program other than the fact that he doesn't seem to know much about any college sports and it's tough to distinguish when there is no consistency. I guess my frustration comes from not hearing much of anything positive coming from our "flagship station". Instead, let's poke fun at the Gophers and hope everyone understands that it's a "bit".
