We’re closing in on the unofficial football version of the Big Ten-ACC challenge, with five games set for Saturday. Illinois visits North Carolina followed by Northwestern at Duke, Nebraska at Miami, Virginia Tech at Purdue and Pitt at Iowa.

Every matchup pits the Big Ten West against the ACC Coastal, considered by some observers as the two worst divisions in the Power 5 ranks. Three of 14 teams from these two divisions appear this week in the AP Top 25 -- No. 14 Georgia Tech, No. 23 Northwestern and No. 24 Wisconsin.

Here’s a question to consider: Of the Big Ten teams in action Saturday against the ACC – so we’re not considering the Badgers or Minnesota – which team is most likely to use a victory Saturday as its springboard to a spot in the first set of College Football Playoff rankings on Nov. 3?
